The Foundation's goal is to empower vulnerable communities in Nepal through sustainable programs. It aims to improve education, health, and environmental sustainability for the community while empowering participants from abroad with intercultural learning experiences. By aligning its efforts with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we strive to create a positive impact and a brighter future for both the communities and participants involved.

Our Objectives

The main objective of the Ridge Foundation (RF) is to foster growth and empowerment in remote areas of Nepal. To achieve this, the Ridge Foundation implements projects with a strong focus on education, health, and livelihood, ensuring sustainability for long-term development. The Foundation actively involves university and college students from abroad, who volunteer their time and expertise to support the local communities. This approach not only benefits the communities but also provides a platform for cultural exchange, skill-sharing, and knowledge transfer between local students and international participants. By adopting positive and comprehensive strategies, the RF aims to create a better future for those in need, addressing the unique challenges faced by these remote areas.The Foundation aims to achieve the objectives set by the UN Sustainable Development Goals in Nepal's remote regions. It focuses on providing quality education, promoting good health and well-being, and helping people earn a living while ensuring gender equality and environmental sustainability. Additionally, it aims to work towards solving the problems of clean drinking water and sanitation in these areas. People from abroad and local people will join the Ridge Foundation and contribute to its long-term goals. These participants have a wide range of skills and experiences that benefit the local communities, schools, health centers, and agriculture projects in Nepal. The Foundation designs its programs based on the needs assessed within the local communities, aiming to deliver a positive impact and address the most pressing challenges.

Our Areas and Beneficiaries

Ridge Foundation envisions comprehensive community development programs in Kaski, Kavre, and Sindhuli districts to empower vulnerable communities and help them lead fulfilling and successful lives. We aim to nurture future community leaders by focusing on education, health, and livelihood initiatives that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals for Nepal.

Target Areas and Beneficiaries

Over the next five years, Ridge Foundation has set ambitious goals in the local communities in Kaski and Kavre, aligned with the UN and Nepal Government's development objectives. We aim to make significant progress in the following areas:

Quality Education: Our focus is on enhancing and expanding the quality of education in our partner schools.

Good Health and Well-Being: We strive to meet the government's health and well-being targets through various initiatives.

Clean Water and Sanitation: We aim to educate and provide access to safe drinking water and clean water solutions while promoting awareness of clean water and sanitation.

Gender Equality: Our efforts include increasing girls' access to sports, education, and life skill opportunities. We also seek to reduce stigma around health and puberty and lower school drop-out rates.

Environment Sustainability: We are dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability by taking various climate actions. Our primary goals include reducing carbon footprints and mitigating environmental degradation. To achieve this, we are focusing on two key initiatives: planting trees to combat pollution and conducting awareness and community clean-up programs to reduce pollution in schools and local communities. We encourage our participants to adopt vegetarian meals to reduce the impact of animal agriculture on the environment during their stay in Nepal. Through these efforts, we aim to create a more eco-friendly and sustainable future for our planet.

Livelihood and Income Generation: To combat hunger and poverty, we will offer income-generating sustainable projects like electricity wiring, plumbing, kitchen gardens, and sewing classes. Additionally, we will conduct nutrition workshops, social and finance classes, and skills training to improve living standards and reduce poverty levels.

Stichting Sarangkot

Stichting Sarangkot (Sarangkot Foundation) has been working for over a decade towards improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of Sarangkot and surrounding villages. From a humanistic vision and in response to the people’s request, the foundation applies itself to providing good education, clean drinking water, and a good, clean environment.
The foundation applies itself to assisting the residents of Sarangkot and the surrounding area, while taking into account, as much as possible, the local culture and natural environment.
The projects focus on water management, education, waste disposal, health, and hygiene.

Freedom Social Foundation

Freedom Social Foundation is the social initiative taken by Freedom Adventures to share what we have learned over the years working within this industry. Adventure tourism is without a doubt a sector that is progressively growing in Nepal. However, the people who come into it do not come into the sector by learning about it but rather work their way up from the bottom.
