Our Programmes and Projects

Our Quality Education initiatives are dedicated to serving schools with students from disadvantaged and economically challenged backgrounds. Our education programs are designed to actively involve these students in a range of activities aimed at imparting life skills, enhancing their English proficiency, refining their soft skills, and offering specialized training to teachers to improve their teaching methodologies. Moreover, we prioritize igniting a passion for learning among local students, fostering their self-confidence and aspirations, and nurturing their love for acquiring knowledge. To achieve these goals, we meticulously develop lesson plans and program modules tailored to the specific needs and interests of the children we serve, ensuring a holistic and empowering educational experience.

Quality Education

The goal of our Health and Sanitation Programme is to instill healthy habits and knowledge among school children and community members. We achieve this by conducting workshops to educate on fundamental health issues and preventive measures. To create effective programs, we collaborate with local schools and their curriculum. Our workshops address various crucial topics, including personal hygiene, sanitation, nutrition, disease prevention (both communicable and non-communicable), youth and health, women's health, and environmental well-being, among others.

Environment Sustainability

We are dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability by taking various climate actions. Our primary goals include reducing carbon footprints and mitigating environmental degradation. To achieve this, we are focusing on two key initiatives: tree planting to combat pollution and advocating for the adoption of vegetarian meals to reduce the impact of animal agriculture on the environment. Through these efforts, we aim to create a more eco-friendly and sustainable future for our planet.

Students Programmes

We offer both in-country and remote volunteering opportunities, allowing students to contribute meaningfully based on their availability and location:

In-Country Volunteering: Immerse yourself in the local culture and work directly with communities, schools, and organizations to create lasting change. Our placements offer hands-on experience while building strong connections with the people you support.

Remote Volunteering: Support local organisations and schools in rural Nepal from anywhere in the world. Through virtual collaboration, students can contribute to education, skill-building, and development initiatives without the need to travel, making a real impact from a distance.

Health and Safety

Support Around the Clock

Our local team in Nepal will be with you every step of the way during your projects, from the moment you arrive at the airport to when you leave. They'll ensure your safety and help you navigate any challenges, like adjusting to a new culture. Plus, we have a 24/7 hotline connected to our central support team for emergencies, so you or your family can call anytime.

Safe Locations

We regularly assess the safety of all our destinations and keep an eye on safety. Our local teams confirm that places are secure before you arrive and are ready to make any needed changes to ensure your safety. They live in the areas where we work and will give you a safety briefing that fits with the local culture when you arrive.

Direct Involvement

During your stay, you'll be working on Ridge programs that support our community partners, such as schools, women’s groups, youth clubs, and health centers. We oversee everything to ensure your activities are safe and meaningful for the local community. We don't work with big tour companies or similar organizations because we believe the best way to keep you safe and make a positive impact is by running our development programs.

Guidance and Support

Before your stay in Nepal, our team will provide you with full support. Whether it's helping you book flights or advising on what to pack, we'll assist you every step of the way. Four weeks before your trip, you'll attend a briefing session to review all aspects of your potential risk management, ensuring you're well-prepared for your upcoming adventure!

Travel Insurance

Before starting your journey, we ensure all participants have thorough travel insurance. If you need to postpone due to illness or injury before traveling, this covers medical expenses if you require treatment abroad. Our local teams are prepared to assist you in accessing medical care and contacting your insurance if necessary.

Safeguarding and Child Protection

At the heart of our values lies the belief that everyone, including children, the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and community members, deserves protection, with a special emphasis on the welfare of children. As an ethical community organization, we prioritize the safety of those we serve by implementing robust policies and procedures. These encompass various areas such as codes of conduct, child protection, social media usage, safeguarding, whistleblowing, and prevention of sexual abuse and harassment.
